After their episode on last week’s episode of DynamiteOur man Manolo was one of the few who wondered about the agenda between Saraya and Dr. Britt Baker DMD
It accomplished its main goal – allowing the former Paige to announce that she had been cleared to return to the ring after spinal stenosis forced her to retire in 2018, and set up a match with Baker at Full gear civil servant It was an undeniably emotional moment for both performers and fans. Other than that, it still got a little weird. Saraya blasted Baker’s lack of accomplishments, putting the doctor in the position of representing AEW against another former WWE star who made it big in Tony Khan.
Last night (Nov. 16) at the final Dynamite before Saturday’s PPV, both women were given special time to catch up on the past week and pick things up for the weekend.
Baker got more of a proper introduction. And she nailed it. The problem is, she spoke first and said what many wanted to hear Saraya say last week. Britt praised her opponent and her journey, but refused to downplay her accomplishments or the AEW women’s locker room.
In a brief interview with her friend, Renee Paquette, Saraya walked back the disrespect she directed at Baker last Wednesday, but was otherwise quiet.
It feels like the build up to a double bend, but why would they do anything to get Saraya booed during what should be a big feel good moment? Wouldn’t part of the reason Baker was her first feud be to make sure the heat was on her opponent in the big rematch?
Or maybe that’s not what they’re doing? But if not, why do you think Britt has a bigger mountain to climb than the person who was almost paralyzed in his last game? Is this another case of lax creative controls biting AEW in the ass?
It’s hard to imagine that the crowd in New Jersey won’t be 50/50 at best on Saturday night, and that could be because Baker & Saraya sent the promos they wanted to deliver instead of the ones that would have best served the story as it is. trying to tell.
We will know more after that Full gear. Until then, let us know what you think and check out the rest of the highlights from last night Dynamite.
