For those of you wondering, yes, dogs can eat bread.
According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), dogs can eat bread just as safely as humans, albeit in much more moderate amounts.
Plain white, whole wheat bread is generally safe for dogs to eat, and even if they are not allergic to it, it usually does not cause an upset stomach.
As long as your dog is getting a complete and balanced diet and exercise, giving them bread as a treat now won’t hurt them, but it won’t help them either. This is because bread is basically just a filler food and doesn’t contain any nutrients that your dog’s food isn’t already providing.
Also, bread is full of carbohydrates, which can lead to obesity in your dog if you don’t watch your portions and treat frequency.
The video later went viral and attracted animal lovers across the platform, garnering over 3.2 million views and 181,400 likes so far.
One user, Michelle 211, commented: “He didn’t steal it. He was keeping it safe for you so no one else stole it.” John Berry wrote: “Keep it warm for yourself.” Matthell17 added: “I always have that innocent expression on my cocker spaniel.”
Ric Malkin argued: “Let’s be fair, somebody’s sandwich,” Glav said: “The evidence is overwhelming.”
Another user, mais, commented: “I can never tell if my cocker spaniel is there [eaten] Because he hides it well, but it’s hard to tell when they give you puppy dog eyes.” Olaf the Count said: “She’s innocent! Look into her eyes.”
U2Ginger wrote: “Oh what a love bug. How can you be mad at that face.” Sarah Jane Williamson said: “My dog did it to my husband’s gammon!”
