
VIJAYAWADA: Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan highlighted that students should focus on digital transformation on Saturday. Addressing the 2nd convocation of Centurion University of Technology and Management in Vizianagaram, he said India is on the cusp of radical transformation and students should focus on chip manufacturing, quantum computing, computational pharmacy, smart agriculture and smart manufacturing.
He said that the Jandhan-Aadhaar-Mobile integrated system has demonstrated how to transform Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for the poor and Andhra Pradesh government has become a pioneer in this aspect.
Addressing the gathering from the Raj Bhavan, the Governor pointed out how quantum computing and computational pharmacy can come together to reduce the time required for the development of new vaccines that have saved millions of lives.
The Governor lauded the university for its focus on cutting-edge technology and its roots in Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh. He advised the university to focus more on Vedic culture and work towards rediscovering the glory of the nation.
