Leandro Trossard wants to leave Brighton & Hove Albion in this transfer window, with his agent claiming on Friday that the player has been sacked by the club following a row between the Belgium international and his team-mate.
Trossard’s agent Josy Comhair has also claimed that the 28-year-old striker is no longer in talks with head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
Trossard, who has been linked with a move away from the south coast this January, is yet to feature for the club this year after being left on the bench against Everton and left out of the squad for the FA Cup win against Middlesbrough.
De Zerbi then confirmed on Friday that Trossard will not be part of his squad to face Liverpool on Saturday after leaving training early without his permission.
“He left the session without saying anything to me. And that’s not good,” De Zerbi said.
“I spoke to him and explained this attitude, this behavior that I don’t like.”

Trossard should look to Mac Allister to avoid tarnishing his Brighton career
But in an extraordinary statement released on Friday night, Trossard’s agent said the player had been suspended unfairly.
The statement said: “Before Leandro left for Qatar, Brighton were looking to get Leandro to sign. This did not happen as the parties could not reach an agreement. Leandro has also indicated that he is ready for his next step.
– After the World Championships, Leandro and a training player had an argument over a trivial matter. After that, the manager no longer talks to Leandro, which is obviously not conducive to the atmosphere and is not performance oriented.
– Leandron was still a starting point against Southampton and Arsenal, but against Everton he was on the bench. He was also not involved in the five substitutions that took place at that time, and this without any explanation.
– Before the match against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup, Leandro had already announced twice that he had problems with his calf. This was the reason why he stopped training. By the way, this happened in consultation with the nursing staff.
– The manager told Leandro that he had to train separately. Last Monday, the manager humiliated Leandro in the group and announced that he no longer wanted to see him. A manager who has not communicated directly with his player for four weeks is truly incomprehensible. By the way, the manager has also stated on several occasions that the transfer is the most convenient solution.”

Stylish, energetic and beyond expectations – how far can De Zerbi take Brighton?
The statement ended by saying that Trossard wanted to leave Brighton immediately.
It added: “Therefore, it is important that Brighton co-operate with a potential transfer during this transfer window and show a good faith attitude which is beneficial to both parties.”
Brighton have an option to extend Trossard’s current contract, which expires this summer, by another year until June 2024.
According to reports in Belgium, the 28-year-old has consistently rejected new contract offers.
