Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) exist in almost all Canadian provinces and territories (excluding Quebec and Nunavut) as a tool for each region to select candidates who wish to live in a special places in Canada.
Designed to spread the benefits of immigration throughout Canada—especially because Canada’s immigration history is not the same as that of Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec—there are currently more than 80 nationally the PNP is available to potential Canadian immigrants.

Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) provides eight different perspectives for workers and entrepreneurs who are willing to call Canada’s most populous “prairie province” their new home.
These rivers are:
British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) offers three broad streams for newcomers to Canada interested in living in one of Canada’s most beautiful provinces.
These rivers, which provide different means of transportation for many areas, are as follows:
- Skilled Migration Stream: Divided into individual categories for Skilled Workers, Health Professionals, International Graduates, International Graduates government and Skilled/Semi-Skilled Workers.
- British Columbia Admissions Stream: Divided into Professionals, Health Professionals, International Graduates, and Graduates Only International.
- Business Travel: Divided into a Basic Group, a Regional Group, and a Strategic Project Group.
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) can be used by people interested in coming to the most central province through the following five PNP channels:
New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP)
For anyone who wants to immigrate to Canada and live in the largest country in the Maritimes, the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) offers five different ways that one can then explore this opportunity.
These rivers are:
- Job Description: For identified candidates who can best help meet New Brunswick’s specific needs/goals in the organization and in relation to the labor market .
Note: This stream, at the time of writing, has stopped accepting submissions until further notice (until May 20, 2022)
- Skilled Worker Opportunities: For candidates with a full-time job offer
- Business Travel Stream: plans to own and manage a business
- Internship plan: for Francophone workers who are willing to live and work in New Brunswick permanently and gain skills, education, and work experience to contribute to the province
- Atlantic Immigration Program: To publicly address Atlantic Canada’s labor shortage in New Brunswick
Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP)
There are five different streams that can exist for a person who wants to immigrate to Canada who is willing to make the eastern province of the country their home.
The different rivers in Newfoundland and Labrador’s Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) are as follows:
- Newfoundland and Labrador Express Entry Skilled Workers: For skilled workers who have an existing job offer and a Job Description through IRCC
- Skilled Workers Category: For skilled workers with a job offer, including members already in the province with a valid work permit
- International Graduate Category: For recent graduates who have both a graduate work permit and a job offer
- International Business Category: For candidates who have operated their business for one year on a Temporary Work Permit and want to start, incorporate, or buy a business
- International Graduate Entrepreneur Category: For graduates of a regional secondary institution who seek to establish, incorporate or manage a business
- Atlantic Immigration Pilot: A federal rapid immigration program used to hire immigrants for jobs that could not be filled locally
Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP)
Nova Scotia is a province known as “Canada’s Ocean Playground” for its 13,000 km of coastline.
For anyone who sees the appeal of moving to this beautiful and peaceful province, Canada’s second smallest, here are nine different rivers that are available in the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP):
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)
Canada’s most populous province, and historically famous for immigration, is Ontario. Ontario has four different categories within the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) for eligible new Canadians to study.
These categories are:
Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP)
Canada’s smallest province offers newcomers to Canada three different ways to arrive and settle in the country’s famous potato region through Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).
The following are available:
Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)
Saskatchewan’s Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) provides new immigrants to Canada with four different streams through which they can immigrate to Saskatchewan.
These rivers are:
Northwest Territories Nomination Program (NTNP)
The Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP) has two distinct programs that give new Canadians a total of four streams that allow them to explore the settlement in this region—the two home of the largest lake in North America and the largest national park in the country.
These rivers are:
Under the Northwest Territories Employer Driven Program:
- Informational Information for Skilled Workers
- Skilled Workers: For candidates who have received a job offer in a skilled position and have been employed in that position for at least six months
- Entry Level/Farming Employment: For candidates who have been employed in an entry level position for at least 6 months and the territory deems that they can help fill the employment shortage.
Under the Business Travel Program:
- Business Process: For candidates who demonstrate the ability to start, acquire, or invest in an existing Northwest Territories business
Yukon Nominee Program (YNP)
Yukon’s version of the PNP is called the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP), and there are five streams that allow newcomers from Canada to settle in the territory.
These rivers are:
- Yukon Express Entry: For members with full-time and full-time employment opportunities
- Skilled Worker: For candidates sponsored by a local worker for permanent residence in Canada
- Critically Endangered Employees: For qualified or non-qualified employees supported by an employee in a high-demand job.
- Yukon Business Nominee Program: For candidates with business experience who want to start a new business, partner with an existing business or buy and operate an existing business.
- Yukon Community Pilot: For candidates who have already been selected, they are allowed to work for multiple employers at the same time
